Working in a white wonderland....

It certainly doesn't feel like winter outside, but inside our house it's a little like a snow castle. White is everywhere! The drywall continues with mudding and corners and other stuff. The guys are working hard!

Jeff places the time capsule (it has house plans, family photos, and our current newsletter in it).

We hope it all works...

Because it's covered in DRYWALL!!!!!!

You can't imagine how exciting and terrifying it is to have drywall cover everything. We're thrilled, but also crossing our fingers that everything that is now hidden inside the wall works as expected...

Here are a bunch of pictures of how it is going. This was all done in about a day and a half. We really like our drywall crew!

The stairs!

Looking toward the kitchen, look at that mess!

The kitchen, not really done yet.

Looking Warm and Green

It's busy on the construction site! We had insulation guys stop by and finish their work, the electrician has been in and out, inspectors keep approving framing, siding continues to go up, and did I mention the drywall crew starts on Tuesday? Yeah, so the house has to be empty on Monday morning. Completely.

Insulation in kids bedroom (which doesn't have an ICF wall because of the gable).

More insulation, specifically Sarah's closet area and bedroom wall.

Looking the other direction at the insulation.

And the siding on the house goes round and round...

Lots of things have been happening at this house and this blogger has been away on some trips.... So here is a big update of the last few weeks!

The porch ceiling is put together.

This is the front porch coming together.

The floor boards are on and stained twice!

What do you think of the color combo?

CUBS WIN, some of the time.

We spend a lot of time moving boards and stuff around.

And around...
